On Saturday 4th June 2011, Living Water Church had the inauguration of their new venue situated on Mojacar playa opposite the pharmacy near the Red Cross Centre.
The event was attended by over 60 people from various churches in the Costa Almeria and Costa Calida areas.
The meeting was opened with David Weir playing “To God be the Glory” on the bag pipes. Worship was led by Robin and Julie Hawkins and the address was given by Tony Morton from the UK.
Leslie Thomas from The Fellowship of the King Network shared about the important work of the churches in Southern Spain.
The latest initiative is to establish a 24/7 building in Mojacar which is accessible to people throughout the whole year.
Positioned on the Playa we now have great potential to facilitate teams to come and be involved in mission during the summer months.
Our vision is to be a people that can offer refreshment and biblical teaching that is Holy Spirit inspired to equip and minister to both residents and visitors alike.
There are many people here in Spain who need to see the love of God poured out through support and friendship of which we have the wonderful privilege of playing our part.
The meeting was followed by a light buffet including the gift of a cake made in the shape of a cross provided by the “Mana del Cielo” Café.

In October 2010 we visited Cartagena on a day Trip to the Costa Calida.
This was a great day out which included several churches from the Costa Almeria area (Albox, Turre, Huercal Overa & Mojacar). The day was arranged for people to enjoy the tourist attractions of Cartegena which include several ancient monuments and many maritime places of interest.
We enjoyed a great time of fellowship as we explored the great variety of restaurants in the city, along with a boat trip around the port and a bus tour through the city.
