We live in the small town of Turre just 3 miles inland from Mojacar. Turre is a lively working town which retains much of the Spanish atmosphere of an Andalucian town.
Market day on Friday is a wonderful time to meet friends and chat among the stalls which sell most things you need here in Spain. There are carnivals and fiestas throughout the year culminating in the main fiesta in the first weekend of October. A fantastic five day street party with music, horse riding, fancy dress and much more all reflecting the heritage of this peaceful Spanish town. Living here really makes you feel that you live among the Spanish who are friendly and welcoming. There is also a large Ex-pat community which provide a nice mix of Spanish and English speaking businesses.
This location is perfect for us as we are close to Living Water Church in Mojacar where we pastor, we are also able to enjoy the fantastic beaches on the coast and at the same time feel part of a Spanish community.
