Jesus has made a difference. A difference that comes from, not simply remembering Him as some religious teacher from history, but from knowing Him as our Friend and Saviour today.
We believe that Jesus, God’s unique Son, came to earth 2,000 years ago. He taught as no one else ever had; He backed up his teaching with compassion and miracles of healing. The reward He got was that the political and religious authorities of His day executed Him – by nailing Him to a cross! What they didn’t realise was that this was all part of God’s plan for us all. Jesus didn’t just die on that Cross; He died for you and I, in fact, instead of you and I. He took the blame and punishment, to save us from the awful consequences of all the things we’ve ever done wrong. And that’s why we call Him our Saviour.
The best part, however, was that three days after His death, He came back to life again! This event was witnessed by hundreds of people and was God’s way of showing that Jesus’ sacrifice for us had been accepted and that even our final enemy, death, need now no longer be feared. Jesus is still making a difference to peoples’ lives all over the world.
Even better, Jesus did not simply forgive us, change us and then leave us to get on with it. He brought us into a big new family, made up of others He has changed too, so that we can help and encourage one another. That family is called the church. Living Water Church, Mojácar is just one small part of that worldwide family. We are here for Jesus; but also for each other and for others too.
Here in Mojácar we aim to provide an important role for both residents and visitors to our area. Worship, teaching, prayer, friendship and pastoral care are found in our regular meetings.
