Spring is in the air; the days are getting longer and warmer. Blossoms are coming out on the trees; the flowers are starting to bud. The birds are flying in from their migration and starting to nest; as along with much of the animal kingdom, they are preparing for new birth as nature starts coming back to life. We are reminded once again about the beauty of this world that we live in.
Springtime is when we see God’s design to its fullest, as new creation is happening all around us.
We can hear the Author in the melody of the trees. Or within the hills that burst out in song; or the shout of the rivers as they flow to the sea.
In Habakkuk 2:14 it says: “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”
Nature is God’s provision. It’s part of His beautiful creation. It says in John 1 that through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.
And in Job 12:7-10 it says: “But ask the animals and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you. Or speak to the earth and it will teach you or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.”
And that creation includes you and me. In Genesis it says we were created in His image; in the image of God.
You are no mistake; God knew all about you before the beginning of time. It says in Psalm 139 that you were fearfully and wonderfully made.
So this springtime; this time of new beginning, why not consider Jesus, God’s son. He loves you and gave His life for you, so if you would believe in Him, you could have everlasting life with Him in heaven.
